Scope of this page: moves from and to Al Fursan inside Dammam, with a focus on large houses. For the whole city see movers in Dammam, and for houses see villa movers in Dammam.
A big move is managed one room at a time
When a house has a majlis, several bedrooms, a kitchen and a storeroom, the biggest risk is not breakage but disorder: unlabelled boxes, and dismantled pieces nobody can match to their screws. So we split the house into zones on paper before anyone climbs onto the truck, and treat each zone as a small move with its own boxes, pieces and destination.
We do not claim to know every street in the district or the width of every entrance, because houses differ. What we ask for is photos and a map pin on WhatsApp, then we ask only what really changes the way we work.
What we need to estimate a large house
- The number of rooms and floors, and whether there is a narrow internal staircase.
- The biggest piece: a fitted wardrobe, a corner majlis, a master bedroom set, a large fridge.
- Whether there is an annex, storeroom or roof with belongings.
- Whether the new home is smaller, which means some furniture may not fit.
- Whether you want us to wrap crockery and keepsakes or prefer to do it yourself.
Photos of each room taken from the doorway save many questions and let us estimate crew size and working hours more realistically.
Numbering rooms and matching pieces to places
The method we prefer for large homes is simple: every room in the old house gets a number, every room in the new one gets the same number, and the number is written on boxes and dismantled parts. At unloading nobody asks "where does this go?"; they read the number. If the new place has fewer rooms, we agree before loading where the guest room and children's room contents will go.
Dismantled pieces are photographed first, and their screws are bagged and taped to the piece itself, not to a box somewhere else. See furniture assembly in Dammam for details.
The majlis and heavy furniture
A traditional majlis is many heavy pieces whose fabric suffers from friction. We cover the pieces, carry them in a way that protects the frame, and measure the door before lifting so we do not discover at the last minute that a piece will not pass. See majlis furniture movers and sofa movers.
Kitchen and appliances
The kitchen takes the most time: crockery, pots and electrical appliances. Empty the fridge and freezer a day ahead, disconnect the washer and drain it, and pack glassware and ceramics in boxes of their own. See kitchen packing and moving and appliance movers.
One day or two?
The duration depends on the number of pieces, wrapping, dismantling and the destination, and we do not promise a time before the survey. In a large house it can make sense to wrap rarely used items the day before so moving day is for loading, unloading and reassembly. That reduces pressure and mistakes. See how long does a move take.
Cost
We do not quote a figure before the survey. The estimate changes with the number of rooms and pieces, floors, dismantling, wrapping and the distance between the two homes. Send photos of the rooms and the house location and we will tell you plainly what the estimate includes. For more detail see moving price factors in Dammam.
