From the oasis to the highlands
Al Ahsa to Abha is roughly 1,200 km, sometimes more depending on your start point and the road taken. Distance is not the only difference: the truck starts on hot, flat and fairly humid land and finishes in a mountain city that is much higher and cooler. We follow three rules on this route:
- Packing against moisture: full plastic covers for mattresses, sofas and clothes, and sealed boxes for small items.
- Stronger load securing: roads near the destination have bends and climbs, so the load is strapped in sections.
- Know the entrance before leaving: a photo of the new home's entrance and the street leading to it.
Loading in Al Ahsa
Many Al Ahsa families live in large homes with courtyards and majlis rooms, some in villages or near farms. Before the date:
- We list majlis seating, floor cushions and rugs, as they take a lot of truck space.
- We confirm the truck can reach your door, or agree on a nearby point.
- We separate items staying in the family home from items moving with you, especially when only one family member is relocating.

Abha or Khamis Mushait?
The two cities are close but different. Some Abha districts sit on slopes with narrower streets, while many Khamis Mushait districts are flatter. Give us the exact city and district and tell us if the home is on an upper floor. We do not use an external hoist, so large items are dismantled to pass through stairs or the lift.
What to move and what to buy there
Over roughly 1,200 km, not everything is worth moving. Compare an item's value with the truck space and packing time it needs:
- Usually worth moving: good bedroom sets, majlis seating, newer appliances, bookcases and family keepsakes.
- Think twice: worn furniture, old mattresses and cheap pieces that are easy to replace in Abha.
- Check the size: large sofas and tall wardrobes may not suit the new rooms, so measure first.
