What this page covers: moves that start anywhere in Qatif Governorate (Qatif city, Saihat, Tarout, Safwa, Awamiyah, Anak and nearby areas) and end in Makkah. Moving from Dammam instead? See movers from Dammam to Makkah. For local moves inside the governorate, see movers in Qatif.
Why a Qatif–Makkah move needs its own plan
The road distance is roughly 1,300 km, sometimes more depending on your exact start point and the district in Makkah. Most trucks travel via Riyadh and then head west. That means a long day (or more) of driving, heat building up inside the cargo box for much of the year, and constant vibration. So before we quote, we answer three questions with you: what is actually worth moving, how each item will be protected, and who will receive the load in Makkah.
- Wooden and glass pieces get several layers of wrapping, with extra protection on corners.
- Mattresses and sofas are fully covered and strapped so they do not rub against other items.
- Boxes are labelled by room, which makes unloading in Makkah much faster.
- The fridge and washing machine are disconnected, emptied and dried the day before.
Loading in Qatif: old neighbourhoods and new schemes
Qatif Governorate mixes very different kinds of housing, and each one changes how we work on loading day.
Older neighbourhoods with narrow lanes
A full-size truck may not reach your door. We agree on a nearby parking point and carry items to it carefully. Our guide to moving from old houses on narrow streets explains how we handle this.
Villas and duplexes
Internal staircases and large pieces such as bedroom sets and majlis seating need separate dismantling and wrapping, which often takes a full preparation day.
Tarout and Safwa
We fix an early loading time to avoid congestion on the main access roads and ask you to share your location pin in advance.
Delivery in Makkah: what we ask you beforehand
- District and access: some Makkah districts sit on slopes or hills, and some streets cannot take a large truck.
- Lift and stairs: lift size and number of floors. We do not use an external furniture hoist, so oversized pieces are dismantled to pass through stairs or the lift.
- Timing: traffic patterns change during Ramadan and the Hajj season, and some roads may have restrictions. Tell us your date early.
- Who receives: if you travel ahead of the furniture, name a person in Makkah who has the keys. See moving while you are away.
Pick the plan that fits
| Your situation | What we suggest |
|---|---|
| Small or mid-size apartment in Qatif | Dismantling, packing and loading on one day |
| Large villa or family house | One day to dismantle and pack, one day to load |
| Makkah home not ready yet | Short-term storage first, see furniture storage |
| Moving for a new job | Schedule built around your start date, see job relocation moves |
Tip: do not haul 1,300 km of furniture you plan to replace on arrival. Sort out worn items before moving day and use our moving inventory list.
