Page scope: moves from Qatif and its towns (Saihat, Safwa, Tarout, Anak and others) to Madinah. From Dammam or Khobar, see Eastern Province to Madinah movers. From Jubail, see Jubail to Madinah movers.
Before packing: decide what makes the trip
Qatif homes are often family homes where furniture has built up over years: a majlis, children's bedrooms, extra appliances and a storeroom full of things. When the distance is over 1,200 km, every unnecessary item adds truck space and packing time. We suggest three groups before moving day:
- Moves with you: what you will actually use in Madinah.
- Stays with family: pieces with family value that you will not use now.
- Sell or donate: worn furniture and old appliances.
This sorting alone can change the truck size you need. Our moving inventory list helps you organise it.
Loading in Qatif and its towns
Qatif is not a single district. Older towns with narrower streets, newer schemes with villas, and apartment buildings each load very differently. Before the day, send us:
- A map pin and a photo of the street and entrance.
- The floor, whether there is an elevator, and the staircase width.
- Large items that need dismantling: bed sets, wardrobes, big tables, kitchen units.
For local services see movers in Qatif, and if you live in Saihat see movers in Saihat.
The road and the packing
The usual route goes through Riyadh and Qassim to Madinah, a distance of over 1,200 km. Over that distance:
| Item | How we protect it |
|---|---|
| Sofas and mattresses | Fully covered in plastic, then strapped |
| Wardrobes and bed sets | Fully dismantled, panels wrapped, fittings bagged and numbered |
| Glass and mirrors | Foam and heavy cardboard, carried upright |
| Appliances | Disconnected a day early, fully covered, secured in the truck |
| Kitchenware | Small boxes with paper around each piece |
We do not use an external lifting crane. Items that will not pass the stairs or elevator are dismantled before loading.
Arriving in Madinah
We need the exact location of the new home, elevator and floor details, and someone to receive the furniture if you have not arrived yet. Near the central area, truck parking options can differ, and roads get busy in peak seasons, so we confirm the delivery time with you before setting off. After unloading we reassemble furniture and place each item in its room. If the home is not ready, see furniture storage.
Choosing the right timing
Many people moving from Qatif to Madinah are tied to a date: starting a new job, a new school term for the children, or a lease ending in Qatif. Book the move a few days before that key date, not on the day itself, so there is time to receive and prepare the new home. In summer the road is hot, so we start loading early in the morning and wrap appliances and sensitive items well. For job transfers see job relocation movers, and if you have small children see moving with young children.
Labelled boxes save a whole day
On a long move, what tires a family most after arrival is searching for things. Write the room name and a short content note on every box, with a number that matches a list you keep. When we unload in Madinah, each box goes straight to its room, so you can start settling in on day one instead of stacking everything in the majlis.
