Who this page is for
Owners and managers of restaurants, cafes, dessert shops and small bakeries who need to move contents: relocating to a new site, closing a branch and moving its furniture to another, or storing contents during a renovation. For regular retail shops see shop relocation, and for offices see office movers in Dammam.
What makes a restaurant or cafe move different?
- Two different zones: the dining area (tables, chairs, sofas, decor, free-standing lighting, screens) and the kitchen or bar (fridges, freezers, ovens, stainless tables, shelving, coffee machines, blenders).
- Heavy, sensitive commercial equipment: upright fridges, display chillers and refrigerated counters are heavy, their glass needs special protection, and they must travel upright.
- Downtime is lost revenue: every closed day costs sales, so scheduling matters: move after closing or on a quieter day.
- Mall and commercial-centre rules: some sites have fixed hours for moving vehicles and service lifts that must be booked.
What we move and what we do not
- We move: dining furniture, non-fixed decor, screens once taken off their mounts by you or your technician, disconnected appliances, removable shelving, boxed utensils and kitchenware, and sealed dry stock.
- We do not: disconnect or connect gas, remove or install kitchen hoods and ducting, do plumbing or electrical work, disconnect central refrigeration units or recover refrigerant, and we do not use external hoists.
Important: arrange for your technician to disconnect gas, power and water before our arrival and to reconnect them at the new site after unloading. We handle carrying, packing, transport and placement where you specify.
Packing kitchen and bar equipment
Fridges and display chillers get layered protection with doors secured, and glass is covered with cardboard and corner guards. Ovens and stainless tables are wrapped to prevent surface scratches. Coffee machines and small sensitive appliances travel upright in padded cartons. Cups and crockery are wrapped and packed in divided cartons. Equipment should be clean, dry and empty of food and liquids before the move. More in appliance movers.
Scheduling to minimise closure
- Move storage items and non-daily tools a few days before.
- On moving day: start after closing, move the dining area first, then the kitchen once your technician has disconnected it.
- At the new site: place kitchen equipment in its marked positions so reconnection can start, then arrange the dining area.
This often keeps closure short, but the actual time depends on connection and fit-out work at the new site, not on the move alone.
Branch closures and renovation storage
If you are closing a branch, contents can go to another branch or into storage while you decide. If the restaurant is being renovated, furniture and equipment can be stored and brought back afterwards. See furniture storage.
Small cafe versus large restaurant
A small cafe or kiosk may need one truck and a small crew, with the coffee machine, grinders and a small display chiller as the main challenge. A large restaurant may need several trips, one for the dining area and one for the kitchen and storeroom, sometimes over two days. That is why we ask for an equipment list and photos before quoting, so truck count, crew and time are set accurately. Several branches can be moved on consecutive days the same way.
Information we need for a quote
- Business type and both locations (and floor if inside a mall or centre).
- A list of large equipment with photos.
- Number of tables, chairs and decor pieces.
- Allowed access hours at both sites.
- Your date, and whether storage is needed.
