When you need this service

• The showroom does not deliver, or charges and schedules that do not suit you.
• The store’s delivery date is too far off and you need the furniture before a wedding, a move or guests arriving.
• You bought from several showrooms and want everything collected in one run.
• It is flat-pack furniture in boxes and you do not want to spend a whole day assembling it.
• The store is in another Eastern Province city – for example buying in Khobar and living in Jubail or Al Ahsa.

If the items are second-hand and bought from an individual, used furniture pickup is the better fit, because the checks are different.

At the showroom: check before you sign

The most important moment is collection. What happens before loading decides who is responsible for any defect:

1. Ask the store to open display or part-wrapped items where possible, and check edges, corners and fabric.
2. Match the number of boxes to the invoice – one item can come in several boxes.
3. Photograph items and boxes at collection.
4. If you find a defect, record it with the store before loading.

We protect items with blankets and stretch film once collected, but manufacturing defects or missing parts are the store’s responsibility – so checking before loading protects you.

Assembly at home

New furniture comes in two forms: ready-assembled pieces like sofas, and flat-pack items in boxes such as bedroom sets, wardrobes, desks and some tables. For flat-pack:

• We open boxes in the room itself so large panels are not carried through corridors.
• We follow the included instructions and check all fittings are present before starting.
• Doors and drawers are adjusted after assembly.
• Boxes and packing are gathered in one place; disposal is agreed in advance.

What about the old furniture?

New furniture usually replaces old pieces. On the same visit we can dismantle the old furniture and move it to another room, a store room or a relative’s home, or put it into short-term storage. Mention it when booking so we plan the vehicle and time.
