Movers from Dhahran to Madinah

Scope of this page: moves from Dhahran and nearby to Madinah. For other routes from Dhahran see movers Dhahran to Riyadh and Dhahran to Jeddah, and for moves from Dammam movers Dammam to Madinah.

What makes a Dhahran to Madinah move different?

Many Dhahran residents live in compounds or close to their workplace, while in Madinah families and staff move for work or family reasons. The move rests on three things: the access rules at the current site, the long distance between the two cities, and the nature of the new address. The distance exceeds a thousand kilometres and we do not promise a time before the survey.

We do not claim to know every building and street in Dhahran or Madinah. We ask for the address and photos of the entrance and arrange according to what they show.

Leaving Dhahran

If you live in a compound the truck may need a pass or a set time; see compound movers in the Eastern Province and movers in Dhahran. If you live in an ordinary flat we need to know about the lift and the truck's parking place. If you have a fixed handover date, tell us first.

Arriving in Madinah

Madinah gets busy in visiting and Umrah seasons, and some areas around the Prophet's Mosque may be crowded or restrict large vehicles at certain hours. We do not claim to know the current traffic rules, so ask the landlord or building management about the best time for the truck to enter and where it can stand, and tell us the answer so we set a suitable arrival time. If the address is away from the centre it is usually easier, but the question is still worth asking.

Questions we ask before agreeing

• Is the new address a flat in a building or a separate house?
• Does the lift work and fit large pieces?
• Is there anything stopping a large truck parking in front of the building?
• When do you receive the key, and can you receive at any hour?
• Will anyone in the family travel before the truck?

Preparing the load for the long road

Beds, wardrobes and sofas are wrapped in protective covers, large dismantlable pieces are taken apart, and the truck is arranged with heavy pieces secured and fragile ones kept apart. Keep papers, medicine and children's items with you. See moving while away and moving inventory list.

Cost

We do not quote a figure before the survey. Cost changes with load volume, distance, wrapping, dismantling and assembly, access difficulty and the unloading date. Send room photos and both addresses and we will explain what the estimate includes. See movers Khobar to Madinah for a nearby route.
