Scope of this page: moves from and to gated residential compounds in Dammam, Khobar, Dhahran, Jubail, Qatif and elsewhere in the Eastern Province. For a specific city see Dammam, Khobar or Dhahran.
A compound has its own rules
Many gated compounds regulate trucks and workers: a gate pass, set hours for moving, a service lift, or fixed routes. These rules differ from compound to compound and management to management, and we do not assume yours follows any particular rule. So our first question is: what does the compound management say about moving?
Ask management or the landlord for written moving instructions if they exist, and send them to us on WhatsApp so we can plan the job around them.
Questions to put to compound management
- Do the truck and the crew need an entry permit or names in advance?
- What moving hours are allowed during the day, and are some days barred?
- Is there a service lift, or can the lift be booked, and for how many hours?
- Where can the truck stand, and what is the largest vehicle allowed in?
- Is a deposit or a moving form required before vacating?
Your answers decide arrival time and crew size, and may mean starting early or splitting the job across two periods.
A villa in a compound and a flat in a tower
A ground-level unit differs from a flat in a large tower. The first usually needs paths and parking space; the second depends on the lift, its booking schedule and the distance from the entrance to the door. See high-rise tower movers and villa movers for each case.
Protecting shared corridors
A compound has shared corridors, lifts and floors that everyone looks after, and management may ask for them to be protected during the move. We cover sensitive corners and floors when needed and move through corridors with care. See protecting floors and walls during a move for details.
Vacating and handing the unit back
When you vacate a compound unit, management may inspect it and ask for a formal handover. Plan time for cleaning and inspection before you fix the hour of the last load. For more see end-of-lease moving and job relocation movers if your housing is tied to work.
Cost
We do not quote a figure before the details. Cost changes with the number of pieces, floors, the lift, entry restrictions, available time, wrapping, dismantling and distance. Send the compound name, photos of the unit and management's instructions and we will estimate what is needed.
