Scope of this page: arranging a move at the end of the month. If your lease is ending, see end-of-lease moving, and for an urgent move see same-day movers.
Why is the end of the month different?
Many leases tend to end and new ones begin around the turn of the month, so a large number of families need to move on the same days. The result is fewer suitable slots, and some calls may take longer to answer in the final days. We do not say every day at month end is busy, but planning ahead makes your date less likely to change.
When should you book?
The closer your date is to the last day of the month, the more it helps to confirm early. Send us both addresses and the dates for handing over and receiving the keys a few days ahead if you can, and do not wait until the last moment. If your date is fixed, say so clearly; if you have a day or two of flexibility, tell us, because it helps us suggest a suitable time. See booking movers in Dammam for details.
What should you do before moving day?
- Finish emptying drawers and shelves at least a day before.
- Photograph the electricity and water meters and any notes about the flat before handing it over.
- Prepare numbered boxes with the room written on them.
- Agree the key handover and return times with the landlord or manager.
- Ask the caretaker or management to reserve the elevator and truck parking if they exist.
If there is a gap between handover and receipt
Your current lease may end a day or more before you receive the new flat. In that case you can consider temporary storage for some items or splitting the move into two stages. See furniture storage and multi-stop moving, and tell us the gap between the two dates when you contact us.
