Who usually moves between Dhahran and Khobar?
This short route is one of the busiest in the Eastern Province. Typical cases we see: an employee whose housing inside a Dhahran compound ends and who rents an apartment in Khobar; a family leaving a Khobar building for a villa in Dhahran's Doha or Dana areas; or university staff and students changing accommodation at the start or end of a term. What is different on each side
Dhahran: gated compounds and employer housing
A good share of Dhahran housing is inside walled compounds or employer and campus housing. Entry often needs a vehicle permit in advance, the names or ID numbers of the crew, and sometimes set loading hours. Ask your housing office what they need a day or two before the move and send it to us — we prepare everything so the truck is not stuck at the gate.
Khobar: apartment buildings, lifts and corridors
Areas such as Al Aqrabiyah, Al Thuqbah and North Khobar have many multi-storey buildings, some with small lifts that will not take a large sofa or a king mattress. Can it be done in one day?
For most apartments and mid-size villas, yes: dismantling and packing in the morning, loading, then unloading and reassembly in Khobar before evening.
