- Rahima neighbourhoods: villas, two-storey houses and small apartment blocks, many without lifts, so floors and stair width decide crew size and timing.
- Homes near the sea: high humidity affects wood, fabric and appliances if they stay wrapped in plastic for too long.
Dealing with coastal humidity
- We wrap sofas and mattresses for transport, but recommend removing the plastic soon after arrival so moisture does not build up underneath.
- Appliances are dried thoroughly before the move, and fridge doors are left slightly open for a while after start-up.
- Papers, books and photos go into sealed cartons.

Distance and timing
The road distance between Dammam and Ras Tanura is roughly 60 to 80 km depending on the pickup point and route, usually passing the Qatif area. Most moves are done in one day: morning loading, a short drive, then unloading and reassembly. What sets the length of the day is home size and gate procedures, not distance.
