Coast to Coast: What It Means for Your Furniture
Dammam sits on the Arabian Gulf; Jazan is in the far south-west on the Red Sea. By road the distance is around 1,500 km or more, depending on the route and the destination town. Both are hot and humid, but Jazan's humidity together with summer rain in the region makes protection from damp a priority on this route.

Who Moves Between the East and Jazan?
Most moves between the two regions are work-related: employees in industry, large companies and major projects moving between Eastern Province industrial cities such as Jubail and Dammam and projects in the Jazan region, or public-sector and education staff after a transfer. Sometimes it is a family from the region returning home after years in the east. Either way we need the exact town, whether Jazan city, Sabya, Abu Arish or elsewhere, because distance and route differ.
Packing for Jazan's Climate
- Mattresses and fabrics: sealed wrapping against damp, not just a blanket.
- Wood: a protective layer then stretch film, making sure furniture is completely dry first so moisture is not trapped inside.
- Appliances: dried thoroughly before the move (especially the fridge and washer) and wrapped individually.
- Cartons: sealed tightly and stretch-wrapped where needed, particularly those holding clothes and papers.
- Unloading day: if it rains, we agree a plan to bring the most sensitive items under cover first.

Employer Housing and Compounds
If the new home is inside a compound run by an employer or an industrial zone, there are usually entry procedures for the truck and crew. Ask your employer early about the permit and required details; we send you the truck and crew information after booking.
