Who this page is for
This page is for owners and managers of private clinics and small to mid-size medical centres — dental, physiotherapy, dermatology and cosmetic clinics, and small labs — moving to a new building in the same city or elsewhere in the Eastern Province. A clinic move differs from an ordinary office move in two ways: some contents are sensitive, and every closed day costs patients and revenue. So we plan the move in clear phases.
If you are moving an administrative office, see office movers in Dammam or office movers in Khobar; for retail premises, see shop relocation.
What we move — and what we do not
Being clear about responsibilities protects your clinic:
- We move: reception desks and waiting-room seating, doctors' and admin desks, cabinets, shelving and file cupboards, chairs and tables, free-standing beds, screens and computers once disconnected, sealed boxes of supplies.
- We wrap and move once your technician has disconnected them: portable medical equipment that the supplier allows to be transported, prepared according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- We do not handle: disconnecting, installing or calibrating medical equipment; medical gas lines, electrical or plumbing work; medical waste disposal; or medicines that need a cold chain. These belong to the equipment supplier, contractor or relevant authority.
Before booking: ask the suppliers of large equipment (dental chairs, imaging units) whether they require moving it themselves, and book their technician for the days before and after the move.
A phased plan that cuts closure days
Most clinics cannot close for a week, so we usually split the move:
- Phase one: non-daily stock, archived files and spare furniture go to the new site a few days before closing.
- Closure day: consultation rooms, reception and doctors' offices move in one day — often at the weekend or after the last appointment.
- Next day: furniture is placed according to the new floor plan, then equipment technicians install and test their devices.
We ask for a simple plan of the new premises with room numbers, and label every box and item with its destination room.
Patient files and privacy
Paper records are sensitive. We move them in sealed, numbered boxes. Ideally your own staff pack and seal them, then we load, move and hand them back to the same responsible person at the new site. Our crew does not open file boxes.
The new building
Many clinics in the Eastern Province sit in commercial complexes or on the first floor of buildings on main roads. We need to know whether there is a service elevator and its size, when the landlord or complex management allows moves, and where the truck can stop without blocking neighbouring shops. We do not use an external hoist, so large items go through the elevator or stairs after dismantling. See furniture assembly and furniture packing for details.
