Why this move needs its own plan
When a family moves from an apartment to a villa or stand-alone floor in Dammam, Khobar, Dhahran or Al Ahsa, almost everything changes: more rooms, internal stairs, separate men's and women's majlis, an annex or driver's room, a yard or garden. Apartment furniture rarely fills a villa, and some of it does not suit it at all. So the first question is not "how many trucks?" but "what moves, and exactly where does it go?"
For villa-to-villa or apartment-to-apartment moves, see residential movers, or villa movers in Dammam and villa movers in Khobar.
Step one: a furniture map
At least a week before moving day, list the rooms in the new villa, then ask for each apartment item: where will it go?
- Master bedroom: usually moves as it is to the upper floor.
- Children's rooms: may spread over more rooms so each child gets their own.
- Living room sofas: the apartment sofas often go to the upstairs family lounge, while new furniture is bought for the majlis.
- Kitchen: utensils and appliances move; built-in apartment cabinets usually belong to the landlord.
- Surplus items: anything without a place is sold, given away or stored for a while.
Write the new room name (for example "Upstairs – Room 2") on every item and box and send us the list. It saves hours on unloading day.
Step two: timing with new furniture
The most common problem we see is three things on the same day: moving the old furniture, new furniture arriving from showrooms, and finishing crews installing curtains or lights. The house gets crowded and everyone is delayed. We suggest:
- Finish fit-out work and cleaning before moving day.
- Move the apartment furniture first and reassemble the bedrooms.
- Receive new majlis and lounge furniture on a later day.
Note: we move, dismantle and reassemble furniture, but we do not do finishing work or install lighting, air conditioners or curtains. Arrange those with specialists before moving day.
Step three: internal stairs and floors
In an apartment everything is on one level; in a villa the bedrooms are usually upstairs via an internal staircase that may be narrow or turning. Large wardrobes and double beds need full dismantling to go up, and big sofas may need the stairs measured first. We do not use an external hoist, so send us a photo of the stairs and the measurement at the narrowest point. More on furniture assembly.
Leaving the apartment
The other end of the move is the apartment: floor, elevator size, elevator booking with building management, and truck parking. If you are renting, see end-of-lease moving for handover; if there is no elevator, see moving without an elevator.
And the reverse: villa to apartment
Going the other way means downsizing: choosing what fits the apartment and selling or storing the rest. We can help you check from photos what will pass through the apartment doors and elevator, and arrange furniture storage for pieces you are not ready to part with.
