Scope of this page: moves to and from Al Hamra in Dammam. For the general city service see movers in Dammam, and for a move between two Dammam districts see local movers in Dammam.
Moving a family floor or a low-rise building
We do not know your home until you tell us, but many city moves are a floor in a family house or an apartment in a small building of two or three storeys. There the lift may not exist, the stairs are the main route, and large pieces are carried by hand in stages. That changes the number of workers, the wrapping and the expected time compared with a tower that has two lifts.
When you call us about Al Hamra we ask first: which floor, is the stair inside or outside, how wide, are there steps at the entrance, and can the truck reach the door or is the street narrow because of parked cars.
How we handle stairs and narrow entrances
- We measure door and stair width against large pieces such as sofas and wardrobes before moving day, so no problem is discovered late.
- We dismantle large wardrobes and beds that will not pass the stairs whole.
- We cover railings and wall corners at turns with protection material.
- We plan the loading order so heavy pieces leave first, while the team is fresh, and light items go last.
If heavy furniture has a route other than the stairs, we agree on it with you before booking and do not rely on improvised solutions on the day.
Choosing the moving time
In the hot summer months an early morning or after-afternoon start is easier on the workers and on sensitive items such as appliances and timber. In busy seasons book a few days ahead. It also helps to know your neighbours’ quiet hours, if any, so carrying does not disturb anyone.
We do not provide cranes or exterior lifts. If a piece will not pass the stairs, we dismantle it or agree an alternative in advance.
Wrapping by item type
Wooden wardrobes are wrapped in covers that prevent scratches, sofas in bags and blankets, glass and mirrors are carried separately and marked fragile, and clothes travel in boxes or suitable bags. For more on materials see furniture packing in Dammam, and for preparing boxes see the moving preparation checklist.
If your destination is outside the district
We move from Al Hamra to any other district in Dammam, to Khobar, Qatif, Jubail and the rest of the Eastern Province and the Kingdom. For direct moves between cities see intercity movers in Saudi Arabia.
Cost and booking
We set the price after we know the floor, the stairs, the number of pieces and the assembly needed, and we do not use a fixed number that does not fit your move. Send photos or a short description on WhatsApp 0573505121 and we will give a clear estimate before you book.
Common mistakes in moves up and down stairs
- Loading wardrobes still full of clothes, which makes them heavy and raises the risk of damage. We ask you to empty or lighten them first.
- Leaving appliances plugged in or holding water, such as a fridge or washing machine, which leak in transit. We disconnect and drain them well before carrying.
- Not marking the destination room on each box, so every box lands in one room. We write the room name on every box.
- Leaving small essentials such as keys, medicine and papers on the truck. Keep them with you in a separate bag.
These apply to every move, but matter more when the stairs are the only route and every mistake costs time and effort.
Your first day in the new home
After carrying in, we start with the rooms you need the first night: bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, then reassemble beds and wardrobes. The rest of the boxes can be unpacked over the following days without rushing. For a tidy plan read our guide to unpacking after moving.
