Distance and duration between Riyadh and Dammam
The two cities are roughly 400 km apart by road, and the trip takes several hours by truck depending on the load, stops and traffic. We agree the loading time in Riyadh with you, estimate when we will reach Dammam, and message you before we get close so you can be ready to open the door and show where the truck should stop. Riyadh is drier than coastal, humid Dammam. We do not exaggerate it, but a few pieces deserve attention: good wooden furniture, leather, paintings and electronics. Cover them against dust and leave them ventilated when you open them in the new home, and do not leave cardboard boxes for long in a damp place. If you have a particularly valuable piece, tell us and we agree on how to wrap it.
We do not provide cranes or exterior lifts in either city. We dismantle a piece that will not pass, or agree an alternative before the date.
Wrapping for a long trip

Your first two days after arriving in Dammam
Keep a bag in your car that covers two days: clothes, toiletries, papers and chargers, so you do not search hundreds of boxes on the first night. After unloading, set up the bedroom and kitchen first and leave the rest. If you will change your electricity, internet or the address on official papers, begin early in the same week, because some services need days before they work at the new address.
Should you arrive before us or after us?
Ideally a responsible person reaches Dammam before the truck or just with it, to take the keys and open the door. If that is not possible, agree with the landlord or doorman to open the flat and give us their number so we can contact them directly. We do not like a loaded truck waiting, since it disrupts both your schedule and ours, which is why we repeat this point when booking.
